No injuries reported in overnight Minneapolis garage fire

Firefighters are investigating what caused a garage in South Minneapolis to catch fire overnight.

According to the fire department, crews were called to the 2200 block of Penn Avenue S. early Tuesday morning.

Officials say the fire, which started in a large, detached garage, spread to a neighboring garage. Crews were able to put out the flames at the neighboring garage.

Fire officials say they were able to put the fire out and focus on hot spots shortly before 7 a.m.

No injuries were immediately reported to the fire department.
