Police say two people are in critical condition following an overnight crash in Minneapolis, but add they are expected to survive.
According to Minneapolis police, officers were called to a crash in a truck yard in the area of Northeast 27th Avenue and Northeast Second Street around 12:30 a.m.
When they arrived, they found a trapped Audi under a 26-foot semi-trailer.
Although the driver was able to free himself, police say three other people had to be extricated through the trunk of the car, since it was the only way to safely get to the victims.
Officials say wreckers were able to lift the weight of the trailer and keep it from further collapsing the car.
There is no word yet on the extent of the third person’s injuries and their condition, or what led up to the crash.
