MDH confirms 15 new COVID-19 deaths, 365 new cases

Tuesday, the Minnesota Department of Health reported 365 new COVID-19 cases and 15 new deaths, moving the state's totals to 4,181 cases and 301 deaths. Ten of the 15 deaths were patients of long-term care facilities, MDH said.

The department stated, as of Tuesday, it has completed 11,642 tests and private labs have completed 52,187 tests.

Of the total, 912 cases have required hospitalization, with 314 currently in the hospital and 120 in an Intensive Care Unit.

According to MDH, 1,912 patients have recovered and no longer need to be isolated.

According to the Johns Hopkins Center for Systems Science and Engineering, the virus has infected about 3,061,521 people worldwide and killed about 212,083.

More than 906,022 people have recovered worldwide as of Tuesday.

According to the CDC, patients with confirmed COVID-19 have mild to severe respiratory problems, with symptoms of fever, cough and shortness of breath. Some patients report having muscle aches, headache, sore throat, and/or chills and shaking.
