MDH: 38 newly-reported COVID-19 deaths, 6,122 newly-reported cases

Monday, the Minnesota Department of Health reported:

  • 38 newly-reported deaths from COVID-19
  • 6,122 newly-reported positive COVID-19 tests

*Data posted on Mondays represents data as of 4 a.m. on Fridays.

Additionally, MDH said:

  • 7.99 million COVID-19 vaccinations have been administered
  • 1.21 million third-dose and booster shots have been administered
  • 3.39 million people have completed the vaccine series
  • 70.4 % of those 5 and older have received at least one dose of the vaccine

As of Monday, MDH also reported:

  • 103,764 total breakthrough cases, accounting for 3.149% of fully vaccinated Minnesotans
  • 4,299 total breakthrough hospitalizations, accounting for 0.130% of fully vaccinated Minnesotans
  • 737 breakthrough deaths, accounting for 0.022% of fully vaccinated Minnesotans

Meanwhile, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported, as of Monday, all 87 counties in Minnesota remained at a high level of COVID-19 community transmission.

According to the CDC, counties in red have a high level of community transmission, in orange have a substantial level, in yellow have a moderate level and in blue have a low level.
