MDH: 29 newly-reported COVID-19 deaths, 2,868 new cases

Monday, the Minnesota Department of Health reported*:

• 29 new deaths from COVID-19**
• 2,868 newly-reported positive COVID-19 tests

*Data posted on Mondays represents data as of 4 a.m. on Fridays

**The newly-reported deaths Monday included one from September and 28 from this month.

Additionally, MDH said:

• 6.69 million COVID-19 vaccinations have been administered
• 3.27 million people have completed the vaccine series
• 74.2% of those 16 and older have received at least one dose of the vaccine

Meanwhile, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported, as of Monday, all 87 counties in Minnesota remained at a high level of COVID-19 community transmission.

According to the CDC, counties in red have a high level of community transmission, in orange have a substantial level, in yellow have a moderate level and in blue have a low level.
