MDH: 25 newly-reported COVID-19 deaths, 3,223 new cases

Monday, the Minnesota Department of Health reported*:

• 25 newly-reported deaths from COVID-19**
• 3,223 newly-reported positive COVID-19 tests

*Data posted on Mondays represents data as of 4 a.m. on Fridays

**MDH reports 21 of the newly-reported deaths Monday were from this month, four were from last month.

Additionally, MDH said:

• 6.56 million COVID-19 vaccinations have been administered
• 3.25 million people have completed the vaccine series
• 73.8% of those 16 and older have received at least one dose of the vaccine

Meanwhile, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported, as of Monday, all 87 counties in Minnesota remained at a high level of COVID-19 community transmission.

According to the CDC, counties in red have a high level of community transmission, in orange have a substantial level, in yellow have a moderate level and in blue have a low level.
