Man taken to hospital after house explosion in Oak Grove

Authorities are at the scene of a house explosion in Oak Grove, Friday night.

According to the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office, at 5:32 p.m. Friday, the sheriff’s office, Oak Grove Fire Department and St. Francis Police Department responded to a report about a significantly damaged house on the 4400 block of 214th Avenue Northwest in Oak Grove.

When first responders arrived at the house, it was learned that a woman arrived home to find the house damaged and suspected that her husband was inside.

Emergency responders were able to locate the man in the home and remove him. He was transported to Mercy Hospital. His condition is unknown.

Early indications show that the house experienced an explosion.

The cause of the incident is under investigation.
