Man stable after reported stabbing in Blaine, 2nd man in custody

Monday morning, Blaine police said a man sent to the hospital after a stabbing is stable and a second man has been taken into custody.

Police said the incident happened at about 11:45 p.m. Sunday at the Asteria Inn & Suites, off Highway 65.

Upon arrival, police said they found a 42-year-old man from Robbinsdale with multiple stab wounds. Witnesses told police the man and two other men were involved in an altercation when the 42-year-old man was reportedly stabbed.

The 42-year-old was transported to a nearby hospital for surgery and is now stable.

A 32-year-old man from Anoka was taken into custody and booked into Anoka County Jail on probable cause second-degree assault.

The incident remains under investigation.
