Man shot near Children’s Minnesota Hospital dies

Minneapolis police are asking anyone with information to come forward after a man died in the hospital following a reported assault Tuesday night.
According to police, a 911 caller reported the incident at about 11 p.m.
Officers responded to the 2500 block of 10th Avenue South, near Children’s Minnesota Hospital, and upon arrival, learned a man suffering an apparent gunshot wound had just arrived at Abbott Northwestern Hospital’s emergency room.
The man was later pronounced dead at the hospital. The medical examiner is expected to release the man’s identity, along with the official cause of death, in the coming days.
Additionally, homicide investigators and crime lab personnel were called to the scene along 10th Avenue South to gather evidence.
Police said no one is currently in custody.
