Man severely injured in Minneapolis shooting

Police say a man is recovering from potentially life-threatening injuries after being shot Wednesday night in Minneapolis.

According to Minneapolis police, officers were called to the 4700 block of Lyndale Avenue North for reports of gunfire, as well as ShotSpotter activations, shortly after 8:30 p.m.

When they arrived, the found a man in his 60s who had been shot. He was taken to North Memorial Medical Center.

Police learned the man had exchanged multiple rounds of gunfire with an unknown number of people who were in a vehicle near the 4500 block of Lyndale Avenue North while he was traveling by foot.

According to police, he then got in his vehicle, and drove to the 4700 block of Lyndale, where officers then found him.

As of this time, no one is in custody, and the investigation continues.
