Man seriously injured after pedestrian versus train crash in Minneapolis

One man suffered serious — but non-life-threatening — injuries after being hit by a train in Minneapolis, according to the Minneapolis Police Department.

At 5:41 a.m., officers responded to 18th Avenue Northeast and Quincy Street Northeast in the Logan Park neighborhood on a report of an incident between a train and a pedestrian. Upon arriving at the scene, they found an adult man suffering serious injuries. He was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital.

BNSF Railway Police are investigating the crash.
