Man pleads guilty in fatal St. Paul hit-and-run
A man has pleaded guilty in connection to a hit-and-run that killed a pedestrian back in February.
Christopher D’Shaun Mack, 24, is charged with one count of criminal vehicular homicide in the death of 60-year-old Lor Xiong.
St. Paul police officers were called just before 9 p.m. on Feb. 28, 2021, to Atlantic Street and Phalen Boulevard on the report of a crash involving a pedestrian. There, officers found Xiong, who they say suffered significant injuries, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the criminal complaint, Mack later admitted he was driving when the incident occurred but said he didn’t know he had hit anyone.
Mack accepted a plea agreement Monday and is scheduled to be sentenced on February 10.
