Man injured in April shooting in north Minneapolis dies

A man who was injured in a shooting back in April in north Minneapolis has died, police said Friday.

According to Minneapolis Police, officers were called to the 3600 block of Aldrich Avenue North at 1:28 p.m. on April 10 on a report of a shooting. There, officers found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim was taken to a hospital in critical condition but, at the time, police said it didn’t appear his injuries were life-threatening.

The man — identified as Kenneth Darryl Durand — died from his injuries on Sept. 11, police said.

It’s now the 69th homicide in Minneapolis this year.
