Man hospitalized after Minneapolis duplex fire dies
A man who was hospitalized after a Minneapolis duplex fire last week has died, according to fire department officials.
The Minneapolis Fire Department reported the update Tuesday, stating the man died from injuries suffered in the fire last Thursday.

The fire occurred just before 2 a.m. along the 400 block of Northeast Broadway Street.
Fire officials said the man was found in a first floor unit. Crews administered CPR before taking him to the hospital.
Tuesday, the fire department reported the fire was determined to be unintentional and that the likely cause was an ashtray and its contents found on the floor.
The Minneapolis Fire Department reports this is the first fire fatality of 2021.
