Man found dead in parking lot near downtown Minneapolis identified

The man who was found dead in a parking lot near downtown Minneapolis has been identified.

Allen Ronald Hall, 42, of Minneapolis, died due to multiple gunshot wounds on July 1, said the Hennepin County Medical Examiner.

The Minneapolis police said at 3:30 a.m., police were responding to calls of shots fired when they found Hall in the parking lot by South 13th Street and Yale Place.

Police pronounced Hall dead at the scene.

No one has been arrested yet in connection with the incident.

While police were investigating, officers said a person who gathered at the scene was slashed across the face with a knife. Police are looking for that person.
