St. Cloud man dies from injuries following weekend shooting in Minneapolis

Officials say a man has died days after being shot in Minneapolis.

According to Minneapolis police, a 28-year-old man died at a hospital Wednesday after being shot Saturday afternoon.

An autopsy report from the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office states the victim, Marcus Ricardo Brown of St. Cloud, died from a gunshot wound to the neck.

Officers were called to the area of 21st and Bryant avenues north at about 3 p.m. for a report of a male down. Police say the person who called did not know how the man became injured but saw him on the ground in front of a vehicle.

When they arrived, they found the man with life-threatening gunshot wounds. He was then taken to North Memorial Medical Center.

Police say the shooting has resulted in the city’s 48th homicide of the year.
