Man dies after shooting in Minneapolis

Minneapolis police are investigating an early-morning homicide Thursday.

Police were investigating at an apartment building near West Broadway and North Emerson avenues.

Officers were called to the area at about 2:45 a.m. on a report of a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers found a man inside the building who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police were cavassing the area and talking with neighbors.

No arrests had been made as of early Thursday.

The incident marks the city’s 63rd homicide this year.
