Man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after woman found unconscious in Bloomington

A Minneapolis man was arrested Wednesday morning after a woman was found unconscious in Bloomington.

Bloomington Police said officers responded to the 2600 block of 90th Street West after receiving a 911 call for help at 6:45 a.m.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found a woman unconscious and showing signs of recent trauma.

Lifesaving measures were performed and the woman was transported to a hospital where she remains in critical condition, police said.

Officers arrested 56-year-old James Anthony Bulygo at the scene. He's in custody at the Bloomington Jail on probable cause of second-degree attempted murder.

Police said Bulygo is related to the victim.
