Lunds & Byerlys requests first hour of store operation be limited to vulnerable population during COVID-19 outbreak
Lunds & Byerlys is requesting that customers who visit their stores reserve the first hour of operation for vulnerable populations during the COVID-19 outbreak.
The grocery chain scaled back its hours, opening from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The chain is requesting the opening hours of 7 to 8 a.m. be reserved for older adults and those who have compromised immune systems.
"In doing so, our intent is to provide an opportunity for those individuals to be the first to shop after our overnight cleaning and stocking so they have increased access to essential products," the company said in a statement.
