Law enforcement agencies join to stop drag racers, over 100 traffic stops this weekend
The Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office joined with several law enforcement agencies Saturday night to slow down and stop drag racers in downtown Minneapolis and surrounding suburbs.
According to a Facebook post, the Hennepin County Sheriff’s office partnered with the Minneapolis Police Department, Metro Transit, Minnesota State Patrol, Ramsey County Sheriff Office, Brooklyn Park Police Department and St. Paul Police Department.
The results of their collective efforts were 101 traffic stops, 29 citations and one DUI arrest.
There were also 22 bookings and 12 firearms recovered from drag racers. The sheriff’s office also stated four fled the scene.
