Large police presence at West St. Paul gas station

5 EYEWITNESS NEWS is working to gather more information about a large police presence in West St. Paul Sunday evening.

Police were reportedly called to a scene at the Marathon Gas station on the corner of Mendota Road East and Christensen Avenue around 9 p.m. KSTP crews on scene reported more than a dozen squad cars present and the area near the station encircled with crime scene tape.

As of 10:45 p.m., officers were "still really busy," according to dispatch.

KSTP crews on scene saw a black sedan and a black SUV being towed. Officers from West St. Paul, South St. Paul and Inver Grove Heights police departments were present.

As of 11 p.m., police took down crime scene tape and cleared the scene.

KSTP is waiting on return calls from investigators.
