5 EYEWITNESS NEWS anchor and reporter Brett Hoffland will be seeking additional treatment following a diagnosis in April.

Hoffland shared a video in April, confirming a cancer diagnosis.

An initial surgery in April had positive results.

A few weeks later, further tests showed it was possible the cancer would recur in the next few years.

In just the past few weeks, more results showed Hoffland's cancer could be spreading.

Monday, Hoffland will undergo chemotherapy treatment. He will travel with his wife back and forth from Rochester's Mayo Clinic for nine weeks of chemo treatment.

The two say they are trying to focus on the things to be grateful for, saying they will beat this.
