President Joe Biden is set to visit Dakota County Technical College (DCTC) in Rosemount Tuesday afternoon. The college will be closed for the day and the event is not open to the public.
The president will speak Tuesday afternoon about the newly passed $1.2 trillion infrastructure law.
DCTC is working with the Rosemount Police Department and the City of Rosemount to ensure a safe visit.
There will be temporary closures Tuesday afternoon due to a motorcade when the president arrives and leaves. City of Rosemount officials report that drivers can expect a 15-minute delay for each motorcade. The president will travel from Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport to DCTC.
The closest place to witness the president’s visit would be the Highway 42/Akron Avenue intersection. However, DCTC does not recommend people attend due to the safety hazards of standing around and near the highway.
If you must attend and see the motorcade, the best place to park would be along Akron Avenue in the north or southbound direction.
