Karl-Anthony Towns enters COVID-19 protocols, out for game against Jazz

Minnesota Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns has been added to the team’s COVID-19 protocols list ahead of Thursday night’s road game against the Utah Jazz.

He joins fellow players Patrick Beverley, Anthony Edwards, Josh Okogie, Taurean Prince and Jarred Vanderbilt, all of whom were in COVID-19 protocols for the Wolves’ last matchup Tuesday against the Dallas Mavericks. McKinley Wright was also added to the COVID-19 list.

D’Angelo Russell is the only Wolves starter not out right now.

Towns previously tested positive for COVID-19 back in January, and he has lost several family members to the illness, including his mother.
