Investigation underway into Minneapolis shooting that left man dead

Minneapolis police are investigating a shooting that left one man dead.

The shooting happened around midnight Tuesday near Dupont and 23rd avenues.

Police said officers arrived and found a man believed to be in his 20s who appeared to have been shot. The man did not have a pulse, police said.

The man was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died, according to police.

The shooting reportedly started with a fight inside a home in the area and the suspect took off before police arrived.

The incident remains under investigation.
