I-94 Eastbound reopened after temporarily closed near Ashby for 60-car crash

UPDATE: As of 2:33 p.m., Interstate 94 Eastbound at Exit 77 has reopened, according to the State Patrol.

Between 35-40 vehicles were damaged in the crash, the State Patrol reported, and another 30-40 were involved but were unscathed. No one had life-threatening injuries. The crash is under investigation.
I-94 EB is temporarily closed near Ashby because of a crash involving multiple cars around 11 a.m. Saturday, the Minnesota State Patrol said.

The first trooper on the scene estimated that there were 50 cars involved, but no fatalities or serious injuries.
The State Patrol is being assisted by other law enforcement & rescue crews from the area.
Traffic is being diverted at Exit 77 for a temporary road closure.
