Hurricane Ian is expected to barrel down on Florida’s west coast sometime Thursday.

The last flights out of Tampa took off Tuesday afternoon, and that included a couple who flew into Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport.

Kallie Robbins returned to Minnesota after her Tampa home was under a mandatory evacuation order.

“My landlord stopped by just as we were leaving for the airport and she goes ‘I just want to be upfront,’ she goes ‘it probably won’t be standing when you get back’ and that’s really hard,” Robbins said. “What do you do when you know you’re going to be homeless in a few days by no fault of your own?”

There’s no set timeline for when the airport in Tampa may reopen.
