Human remains found in Fridley identified as 48-year-old man
Human remains found in Fridley on April 1 have been identified as a 48-year-old man, according to the Anoka County Sheriff's Office.
Scott Michael Waisanen was reported missing since June 8, 2018, from the city of Fridley. According to the sheriff's office, Waisanen was believed to be homeless and it was not uncommon for him to be without communication for an extended period of time.
Authorities find skeletal remains in Fridley
The remains of Waisanen were discovered by an individual out walking their dogs near the 6000 block of East River Road.
The cause of death is still under investigation. More information will be released at a later time.
