Authorities are asking for the public’s help to identify two suspects in multiple crimes in the Hugo area.

In one instance, a man says he was run over by one of the suspects in a car, and suffered multiple injuries.

“I was going to go out and just ask them what they were doing,” said Greg Videen, a Hugo resident.

On July 10, Ann Boland and her boyfriend Greg Videen were enjoying a night at their home in the 9000 block of 170th Street. That’s when they received an alert that someone was on their property.

“I got a little bit closer than from me to you in front of the truck telling him to stop and the guy floored it,” Videen said.

Videen says the suspect then proceeded to drive right into him, leaving him badly injured.

“The ambulance driver said that if I get out of here I should by a lottery ticket because I’m the luckiest guy in the world. I’m the luckiest to be alive because I should be dead right now,” Videen said.

In new video released this week, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office says it is investigating two suspects in connection with this incident, and another report of property crime in the area.

Following a brief pursuit that July night, the surveillance footage shows the suspects switch cars and someone in a Dodge Ram pick them up. The Washington County Sheriff’s office would like to identify the driver of the Dodge Ram as well.

“I didn’t know if I was targeted or they just ended up at my house,” Videen said.

“It’s no longer a safe haven, such a beautiful place out there and I just don’t feel safe,” said Ann Boland, Greg’s girlfriend.

After many days in the hospital and two surgeries, Videen is still gaining back his strength.

“I don’t have any feeling in the right side of my thigh,” Videen said.

The couple is holding out hope that someone knows the people in surveillance video, and say it’s a reminder to stay close with those in your community.

“Keep an eye on your neighbors, check to see if everybody is okay, if you see something say something,” Boland said.
