Last month, a storm caused major damage to the Hudson Area Public Library.
The library is still closed and now will hire a company to clean tens of thousands of books that are filled with glass.
After the job is finished, the library will be asking for volunteers in November to help get the books back on the right shelf.
"I don’t expect that crew to understand the Dewey Decimal System and we need to make sure all the books get put back correctly," Hudson Area Public Library Director Shelley Tougas said. "Hopefully, that will be before Thanksgiving and that will give us something to be so thankful for."
The library hopes to reopen in the next few weeks. Repairs to the building won’t start until next spring.
