Hennepin Co. Board of Commissioners to meet, discuss legal strategies

Tuesday, the Hennepin County Board of Commissioners will hold a meeting to discuss how they will proceed with legal strategies regarding the county’s current sheriff and the library director.

As previously reported, Sheriff David Hutchinson has been facing calls for his resignation following his DWI crash in early December.

Meanwhile, Chad Helton, the Hennepin County Library Director, is facing criticism for deciding to work remotely from his home in Los Angeles.

A policy that went into effect on January 31 states county supervisors whose workers interact directly with the public must live in Minnesota.

Tuesday’s meeting is closed to the public, and starts at 9 a.m.
