Gun sales are skyrocketing across the Country.

The pandemic, civil unrest and calls to defund police are leading more people to purchase firearms for the first time.

Sales at Get Guns Now in Oakdale are up 400%.

"People are scared," Dean Bean at Get Guns Now said. "When it comes down to it people are scared."

The buying spree has caused a firearm and ammo shortage.

"It’s been insane," Bean said. "We’re at the point I can’t get product for the shelf."

Last month, background checks for guns in Minnesota reached over 27,000. That’s more than triple the amount of background checks done in July 2019.
