A Big Lake man who is accused of murdering his mother has been indicted by a grand jury and now faces first-degree murder charges.
Eric Jordahl is charged with one count of premeditated first-degree murder and two counts of second-degree murder, Sherburne County officials say.

When officers arrived at the home, they found Jordahl covered in blood, and also found a butcher knife and what appeared to be human tissue in the kitchen, the complaint states.
In a basement bedroom, authorities found the body of 62-year-old Rosalie Ellen Johnson. The complaint states Johnson had obvious facial trauma and was already dead.
According to the complaint, Jordahl told investigators that he’d gone into his mother’s bedroom during the night and she’d told him to go back to sleep. He then said he punched her repeatedly before going upstairs, grabbing the knife and stabbing her multiple times.
