Gophers men’s hockey season-opening series against Alaska Fairbanks rescheduled
The University of Minnesota Gophers men’s hockey season-opening series with the University of Alaska Fairbanks Nanooks has been rescheduled.
The series was set to take place Oct. 2-3.
The Gophers reported the rescheduling was due to "health and safety concerns in the Alaska program."
The series will now take place at 3M Arena at Mariucci on Jan. 14-15, which was a previously-scheduled bye weekend for the two teams.
All tickets originally obtained for the series this weekend will be valid for the rescheduled dates.
The Gophers will now open the season against Mercyhurst next weekend.
