Three good Samaritans helped save a life after a horrible head-on crash.
The crash happened Tuesday afternoon on Highway 169 near Valley View Road in Edina.
The Minnesota State Patrol says 52-year-old Aaron Bourdage, of Minnetonka, was driving his pickup truck north on Highway 169 when he was struck by a dump truck that lost control traveling southbound and crossed into a northbound lane.
Bourdage was trapped inside his truck until three men stopped and quickly pulled him out. Moments later, the pickup was fully engulfed in flames.
"There was at least five or six cars that, just based on the video I saw, that pulled over immediately and they were all there to help him," the victim’s son, Evan Bourdage, said. "God, I couldn’t be more thankful. I really couldn’t. Words can’t describe how thankful I am."
Bourdage suffered several broken bones but is expected to survive the crash. A GoFundMe has been created by friends to help with his medical expenses.
