A Lino Lakes boy’s wish is coming true thanks to Make-A-Wish Foundation and an entire galaxy’s worth of volunteers.

Fourteen-year-old Alexander Knutson was diagnosed with leukemia when he was 8. A huge "Star Wars" fan, his wish for Make-A-Wish was to act in a "Star Wars" fan film and have his family take part as well.

From the stormtroopers to crew members and editors, there are more than 100 people who are donating their time to this project over several months.

"I feel pretty blessed it was all able to happen," Knutson said.

"I think this is going to be just like a ‘Star Wars’ movie, just way shorter and through a different perspective," he added.

Make-A-Wish is planning on a big premiere in January at a Twin Cities theater for all of Knutson’s friends, family and volunteers.
