What was planned to be a grand event at the Mall of America rotunda to inspire people to give this holiday season has turned virtual with the same mission: to help families battling childhood cancer have a joyful holiday.
“These families are just so close to everyone’s hearts at [the] Pinky Swear [Foundation] and so we are doing everything we can to support them now and in the future,” said Josh Le, director of marketing and strategy with The Pinky Swear Foundation.
“This holiday season I feel is almost more important than holiday seasons past,” Le added.
Their Home for the Holidays at Home campaign kicks off in December and will run all month. They’re asking families to create a gingerbread house and post a picture of it online with the hashtag #Home4Holidays.
By sharing the pictures the Pinky Swear Foundation hopes to accomplish two things: spread holiday cheer and inspire people to donate.
With the help of their partners Mall of America, TCF Bank and Artful Living, they’ve already started to raise money to help their All-Star Families with home and rent payments during the holiday.
Mall of America and TCF Bank are both matching donations up to $2,500. If you’re able to give reach out, click here.
