1 dead, 1 in custody following report of fight in Fridley

Police say one man is dead and and another man is in custody following what was reported as a fight late Sunday night in Fridley.

According to police, officers were called to the area of Pierce Street Northeast and 63rd Avenue at about 10:19 p.m. for what was reported as a fight and an unconscious man.

When they arrived, lifesaving measures were done, however police say the man died at the scene.

Meanwhile, a second man who was involved in the flight had reportedly left the scene, according to police.

He was found soon after officers arrived.

The names and ages of those involved have not been released.

No other details were immediately available, including what may have led up to the fight.
