Former Twins and Saints coach Wayne ‘Twig’ Terwilliger dies
Former baseball player and coach for the Minnesota Twins and St. Paul Saints Wayne ‘"Twig" Terwilliger has died.
Both teams announced the news via social media Wednesday.
The Minnesota Twins stated the team’s "thoughts are with the family and friends" of Terwilliger.

Meanwhile, the St. Paul Saints said he "was a mentor to many, a friend to all, and a great man."
It is with a heavy heart we share the information of the passing of Wayne "Twig" Terwilliger. He played for the Saints in 1952 and coached from 1995-2002. He served in the U.S. military during WWII. According to the teams, Terwilliger played for the Saints in 1952. Later on, he was hired as a coach for the Minnesota Twins from 1986-1994. He then coached the Saints from 1995-2002.
