A former Anoka middle school teacher has pleaded guilty to sexually abusing students.
Court documents filed Thursday shows a guilty plea has been entered by 47-year-old Jefferson Jerome Fietek.
According to the document, Fietek — who’s charged with seven counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, one count of second-degree criminal sexual conduct and two counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct — plead guilty to three counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct on Thursday.
Additionally, according to the document, Fietek has agreed to admit culpability to criminal sexual conduct against all five victims.
As part of the plea agreement, the document states Fietek will be sentenced to 30 years (360 months) in jail with credit for time served and for good time. He’s also required to register as a predatory offender, as mandated under Minnesota law.
A criminal complaint states Fietek taught at Fred Moore Middle School, which is now known as Anoka Middle School for the Arts. The Anoka County Sheriff’s Office received a criminal sexual conduct complaint against Fietek on June 25, 2020, and an investigation began. Additional victims then reported abuse by Fietek.
The complaint states the incidents took place from 2009 through 2019.
Fietek now resides in Massachusetts.
His sentencing is set for Nov. 17.
