Flakes fell in northern Minnesota earlier Thursday morning, and the Twin Cities could see a mix of rain and snow in the afternoon.
Meteorologist Jonathan Yuhas reported snow fell north of Bemidji, adding areas north of Bemidji could see roughly 4 inches of snow by the day’s end.
Meanwhile, Yuhas said a rain-snow mix is expected in the Twin Cities after 4 p.m., with the potential for mainly snow after 9 p.m. Accumulation is expected to be under an inch, Yuhas said.
Looking ahead, Friday is expected to be windy, with temperatures in the high 30s and a few snow showers possible.
