First Minneapolis homicide victim of 2022 identified

The man who died after a shooting in Minneapolis this past weekend has been identified.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the man as 23-year-old Angelo Roch Morehead, of West St. Paul.

His cause of death was determined to be multiple gunshot wounds, and his death was ruled a homicide.

Officers were called to the 4200 block of 11th Avenue South at about 9:40 p.m. Saturday. There, they found Morehead lying in the street. He was taken to a hospital, where he later died.

No arrests have been announced in the shooting at this time.
