Fire Weather Watch issued for most of Minnesota
The National Weather Service issued a Fire Weather Watch Sunday for most of Minnesota, according to a release from the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources.
Forecasted gusty winds and low humidity are contributing to critical fire weather conditions.
Burning outdoors is discouraged by the DNR as fires that develop are likely to spread at a fast pace.
Counties included in the watch are: Aitkin, Becker, Beltrami, Benton, Blue Earth, Brown, Carlton, Carver, Cass, Chippewa, Clay, Clearwater, Cook, Crow Wing, Douglas, Faribault, Grant, Hubbard, Isanti, Itasca, Kanabec, Kandiyohi, Kittson, Koochiching, Lac Qui Parle, Lake, Lake Of The Woods, Le Sueur, Mahnomen, Marshall, Martin, McLeod, Meeker, Mille Lacs, Morrison, Nicollet, Norman, Otter Tail, Pennington, Pine, Polk, Pope, Red Lake, Redwood, Renville, Roseau, Sherburne, Sibley, St. Louis, Stearns, Stevens, Swift, Todd, Wadena, Watonwan, Wilkin, Wright and Yellow Medicine.
