Fire destroys home in rural Corcoran

A home in rural Corcoran is destroyed after it caught fire Tuesday morning.

According to the Corcoran Police Department, emergency crews were dispatched to a house fire around 7:22 a.m. on Meadow Creek Drive, just off of County Road 19. Corcoran Police and West Hennepin Public Safety officers arriving at the scene found the home fully engulfed, with flames and smoke coming from the roof. No one was inside.

The home was deemed a total loss.

Personnel from 18 different fire departments helped extinguish the fire.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Hennepin Fire Investigation Team.
