You can officially call her "The Piano Woman."

Pat Langer has been teaching piano in the Twin Cities for more than 50 years.

Now, she’s been inducted into the Steinway & Sons Teacher Hall of Fame, which recognizes the most passionate piano teachers in the United States.

"I couldn’t believe it," Langer said. "It’s not something I ever imagined. I just do what I do because I really love what I’m doing. Piano teaches you more than the art of playing. It teaches you endurance. It teaches you to have a goal and to learn how to achieve it, going over all kinds of challenges that you have along the way because it’s not a simple instrument."

Due to arthritis, Langer lost her ability to play the piano but she has no plans to retire.
