Edina man arrested, faces charges in connection to kidnapping of 14-year-old Iowa girl

An Edina man faces charges after a 14-year-old was reported missing in Iowa.

According to the Muscatine, Iowa, Police Department, officers met with family members on Wednesday after the girl was reported missing. Police gathered information from family members and attempted to locate the homes of friends and relatives.

The department's investigative unit was brought in once it was learned the teen had connected through social media with a man from Minnesota. The Federal Bureau of Investigation out of the Quad Cities was enlisted to further help the investigation. 

Thursday afternoon, the girl was found safe in St. Paul. The teen was found with a 26-year-old man, who was arrested. 

The man has been identified as Luis Alfredo Moreira Bravo, of Edina. He has been charged in Iowa with kidnapping in the first degree. Other charges are pending in Minnesota. 

The incident remains under investigation by the Muscatine Police Department, Federal Bureau of Investigation and the St. Paul Police Department.
