Eagan police searching for suspect in hit-and-run that sent cyclist to hospital
Authorities are searching for the person who hit a cyclist in Eagan Wednesday afternoon and then fled the scene.
According to Eagan Police, the cyclist was hit near Wescott Road and Denmark Avenue at about 1:45 p.m.
Police believe the vehicle that hit the cyclist was a General Motors full-size truck or SUV with a model year between 2014 and 2018, and possibly black in color. The department said the vehicle’s right mirror broke off in the collision.
The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
