Eagan police: Woman sexually assaulted, threatened with gun; no one in custody

UPDATE 10:55 a.m. – Police say no one is in custody after officers were at the scene of a reported sexual assault in Eagan for multiple hours Tuesday morning.

According to Eagan police, officers were called to Silver Bell Road and Highway 13 shortly before 3 a.m. Tuesday.

When they arrived, they found a woman who reported she had been sexually assaulted and threatened with a gun by a man she knew on the 3800 block of Willow Way.

After searching the home, police say the man wasn’t found.

Officers left the scene around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.

The incident is still being investigated.

UPDATE 10:25 a.m. – Eagan police are no longer at the scene of an incident on the city’s northwest side.

Earlier in the morning, multiple squad cars could be seen in the area of Silver Bell Road and Willow Way.

A 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS crew at the scene reported squads cleared the area shortly before 10 a.m.

As of this update, no details regarding the investigation have been released.

INITIAL REPORT 8:22 a.m .- Eagan police are at a scene in a northwestern neighborhood of the city Tuesday morning.

Police are in the area of Silver Bell Road and Willow Way.

A 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS crew at the scene reported seeing roads blocked off in the area.
