Driver in critical condition, passenger seriously hurt in crash near Lowry Tunnel

A 36-year-old woman was in critical condition and another person was in serious condition after a single-vehicle crash Tuesday morning near the Lowry Tunnel in Minneapolis.
The Minnesota State Patrol reported the crash happened around 1 a.m.
The driver of an SUV reportedly lost control of the vehicle as it headed east out of the tunnel. The vehicle went up an embankment, then rolled several times.
The driver was ejected from the vehicle. She and a passenger were taken to Hennepin County Medical Center.
The state patrol reported the driver was not wearing her seatbelt but the passenger was.
State patrol reported it’s believed alcohol was a factor in the crash.
The incident remains under investigation.
