Delta issues waiver in preparation for July 4 travel disruptions

Delta has issued a waiver to give customers more flexibility in case of holiday weekend flight disruptions, the airline said in a statement Tuesday.

Delta says the systemwide fare difference travel waiver, which accounts for flights running from July 1-4, allows customers to rebook trips with no fare difference or change fees.

All rebooked travel must take place by July 8, and the origin and destination locations must remain the same, Delta says.

Affected customers can click here to adjust travel plans.

Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport (MSP) fliers can find current arrival and departure times here.

Delta attributes current challenges to high customer volumes and pandemic-related strains, which have affected airlines across the board throughout summer travel.

When travel was tricky for Memorial Day weekend, Delta had the most cancellations at MSP, which KSTP gathered from MSP’s flights page at the time.
